Dear Sofia,
in some regard, we all are alone and will ever stay alone. Even if we know each other good, I will never be in your brain and know exactly what you think, and you will never see what I think. We are traped in our bodies for a lifetime. Sengai once said: "When I am born, I am alone. When I die, I am alone. In between - I am alone every day and every night." And a famous quote of Kafka: "But left are we like lost children in the forest. If you are standing before me and look at me, what do you know about the pains that are in me and what do I know about yours. And if I would throw down before you and cry and tell, what would you know about hell more than if somebody tells you, it is hot and dreadful. Just therefor we people should regard us as respectful, as thinkful, as loving as the gates of hell."

Yours,
John
