Dear Sofia,
recently, I saw a movie adapting some of Flash Gordon's adventures ("and Flash Gordon was there/ in silver underwear"), I liked it very much. All those movies talking about and showing space ships, warp 3, laser torpedos, orbit, intergalactic alliances and so on satisfy some childish need of mine. Although it is most of the time pure nonsense. "A blade made of light" (a laser sword): what a nice rhythm of syllables. Somehow tales with their own rules: it is impossible to travel faster than light, but it is also impossible to catch the moon, and nevertheless are the witchs able to do it. Strange enough, how many people take it serious, believing our world to have been visited by extra-terrestrians. But on the other hand, discussing the conjectured characteristics of the extra-terrestrians is not stranger than discussing wether the son has two natures, a divine and a human, or just one.
Yours,
John
