Dear John,
one of the colors missing in our choice of 27 colors is, besides a convincing skin color, the color of a brown bear. And of chocolate. And, as mentioned in the preface, of brown eyes. One of the more famous poems of Nietzsche mentions a brown night ("At the bridge I stood/ recently in brown night"); I was quite surprised reading it for the first time how anybody could associate "night" and "brown" (and the metre of the poem would have allowed almost any color name). But since than, I noticed that sometimes the night indeed is brown. And one brown night, a little brown bear stood at the gate at the end of the world.
