Mild sind Mädchen, manchmal auch Mänade,
mannigfaltig, kaum zu katalogisieren.
Dear John,
I am glad to be a girl, I never thought I would prefer to be a man, but nevertheless it is enraging how injuste the world is divided between real-men and woe-men. I am not certain what it means to be a woman, for yourself; but for the rest of the world it means that they don't have to take you serious, if you invent or discover or conjecture something. You can, for example, make a great career in philosophy without knowing even one name of a female philosopher, and taking the philosophy of Hegel serious.
Another point -talking about the Famous Feministic Females Page- is what we think about pornography. I always was a little bit astonished how men react on pictures of nude women; in some ways, it's a little bit funny. Sometimes men seem to have a very easy structure, at least if their sexuality is concerned. I don't know a woman masturbating with the picture of a nude man she doesn't even know; maybe such women exist (with three billion women, a lot of things should be possible), but I don't know any, and I suspect most men I know to have masturbated with a picture of a nude woman they don't know personaly at least once in their live. Also funny, how important big breasts seem to be for some men (and for others not). But it's not that easy, I guess. The one man I know a little bit better sometimes also seems to be structured in a rather easy way, but I know that it is not true; and I know, or believe, that the beauty of the body isn't essential for your love; at least I hope that you will stay with me, and keep loving me, when I am old and ugly.
Yours,
Sofia
